1. 🛒 Marketplace Overview

  • BookSwap Bazaar is a locally-based, user-driven platform for buying and selling pre-owned books, electronics, kitchen appliances, furniture, and other approved items.
  • All transactions are conducted directly between buyers and sellers, including payment arrangements, communication, and delivery coordination.
  • BookSwap Bazaar does not buy, sell, or hold inventory and does not act as a payment intermediary.

2. 💳 Payments & Checkout

  • Buyers and sellers may agree on any mutually acceptable payment method at the time of the meetup (cash, bank transfer, or other approved method).
  • Payments are made directly between buyer and seller—the platform does not process or store payment details.
  • Buyers should only make payment after inspecting the item and confirming it matches the description.
  • The platform is not responsible for disputes arising from payments, refunds, or chargebacks.

3. 🚚 Shipping & Delivery

  • BookSwap Bazaar does not manage shipping or delivery.
  • Buyers and sellers must coordinate directly to arrange meetups or delivery.
  • The platform is not liable for delays, delivery failures, or meetup disputes.

4. 🧍 Buyer Responsibilities

  • Inspect the item thoroughly before payment.
  • If the item is not as described, buyers may cancel the order during the meetup before completing payment.
  • Keep communication polite, safe, and respectful at all times.
  • Guest checkout users may have limited access to order history and tracking.

5. 📦 Seller Responsibilities

  • Provide honest, accurate listings with clear photos and full condition details.
  • Disclose any faults, damage, or missing parts before listing.
  • Respect cancellation if the buyer finds the item unsatisfactory upon inspection.
  • Ensure safe and respectful communication and meetups.

6. 🚫 Prohibited Activities

You may not use the platform to:

  • Sell prohibited or illegal items as per UAE law (including counterfeit goods, banned electronics, restricted publications, etc.).
  • Misrepresent the condition, ownership, or authenticity of an item.
  • Engage in harassment, fraud, or scams.
  • Circumvent the platform for off-site deals that violate our intent or UAE e-commerce regulations.

7. 🔑 User Accounts

  • Users are encouraged to create an account to access features such as enquiries, order tracking, confirmations, and cancellations.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
  • Users must be 18 years or older or have parental/guardian consent to register.

8. 📜 Liability Disclaimer

  • BookSwap Bazaar acts only as a listing and coordination platform.
  • We are not liable for any loss, theft, miscommunication, or failed transactions between users.
  • Use of the platform is at your own risk.
